Welcome back and I hope you had a wonderful holiday. This year is passing by at warp speed!!
We are going to start gearing up for FSA testing. It is important that your child is present every day to prepare for this most important testing. Our school depends on your child’s success.
BGE would like to recognize their candidates for Teacher and ESP of the Year. Mrs. Brittany Derringer is our representative for teacher of the year. Mrs. Derringer currently teaches third grade and is very active in many extracurricular activities. She is always up for the challenge and often volunteers for committees. She is currently co-chair of her department, helps with after school, and works with the pep squad and many others. Mrs. Lily Herrera is the ESP of the Year at BGE. Mrs. Herrera works in the cafeteria and is an awesome cook. She often shares her wares with our staff and we look forward to it. We look forward to the Teacher/ESP Banquet at the Civic Center on Thursday, January 26. Good luck to both of these very deserving ladies.
Our second Proud Panther celebration will be Friday, February 10. If your child receives this award, you will receive notification. Group pictures will be Thursday, February 16.
There will be no school on Monday, February 20 due to President’s Day and students will not attend school on Friday, February 24 due to teacher in service.
Please join us for our annual Black History Celebration on Thursday, February 23 at 8:00 a.m. in the cafeteria. Our second grade will be presenting this program.
Stay in touch with your child’s teacher in regards to their progress. Family and school partnerships are the best support system a child can have.
As always, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!!!
Have a wonderful day!!!!!!
